Still give pretty flowers, but seems to be more useful for food. Thanks so much for the information! malva &quo...there is a periennial hollyhock called <br />malva "green gumbo" that has smaller pinkish/white flowers, smoother slightly glossy leaves and a little more flavor than the sold for flowers varieties. it is a bit mucligenous and can also be used to thicken soups. seems to tend twards being prennial as opposed to biennial(in my zone 6 garden at least)vinnynoreply@blogger.com
