There was a modern composting toilet beneath the yurt in a little wood "outhouse." We peed outside, which I actually really enjoy--going outside in the middle of the night when it is snowing forces you to experience something really beautiful even if it was hard to get out of bed to do so :) The room had toilet paper and a bucket of broken up cocopeat to put in after you did your thing.
