Permaculture Books: Getting Started

Introduction to Permaculture

Outstanding introduction to the basics of Permaculture from the co-creator himself. Probably the easiest to read of all his books.

Gaia's Garden, Second Edition: A Guide To Home-Scale Permaculture

One of the best introductions to practical Permaculture.  Great overview with basic implementation for the small land owner (i.e. living in the suburbs). This is usually the first book I recommend to anyone when I first tell them about Permaculture.

Getting Started In Permaculture: 50 Practical Projects to Build and Design Productive Gardens

A very basic Permaculture project book (just 102 pages). Not much explanation or theory, but some solid (and fairly easy) projects to get you started.
